Why Coaching Works

Coaching works, it just does.  It is hard to explain until you experience the process.  When you work with a coach your are listened to and if the coach is good they listen deeply to every word you are saying.  In a world that loves to hand out quick and sometimes unsolicited advice, this is worth the fee alone.  Several minutes where you can talk about a problem, an issue, something you need to retool...very healthy.  Being listened to is powerful, but when you have someone on your side who desires your best asking you deep, probing questions...questions you have to answer the coaching process kicks into high-gear.

These questions are not being asked in order to further an agenda they are being asked so we can discover our agenda, the best one for us.  Think of it, having someone ask you questions who is totally for you.  By verbalizing solutions to our problems, solutions that come from our own context, not imposed from another person, we can fully own the steps, fully embrace the steps toward scaling the heights toward potential.  And finally knowing a coach, a flesh and blood human being, is going to ask us about our progress the next time we talk is built in accountability that seals the deal.  Coaching is the real deal...I highly encourage you try the process.
