10 Books Every Teenage Boy Should Read

I was a youth pastor for several years and have teenagers of my own. I am occasionally asked what books would be good for a teenager to read. The trick is to find good books with important messages that will keep a teens attention. I believe books can help develop character and I chose the following books with character formation and thought stimulation in mind. This is not an exhaustive list, but the following books can help build character in anyone who reads them. I would suggest that these books be read by the parent and teen at the same time so they can be discussed.

I am a follower of Jesus so this list reflects my Christian beliefs and perspective. While not every book on this list is from a Christian perspective, each has been chosen for a specific reason.
