Compassion - A Practical Way to Have It

It was Wednesday morning at youth camp last summer. We were instructed to join hands as we prayed before we left to go out to serve in different areas of the community. I had bowed my head when I felt someone grab my right hand. I peeked during the prayer and it was a beautiful college aged girl. I later found out that Harriet was from Kenya and traveled with the group who put on the camp during her summers. She was a 'Compassion Child' and worked as a summer spokesperson for Compassion International. She was articulate, bright, and her smile lit up the room. My wife talked with her at length and found our that her life was changed when someone gave $38 a month to her through Compassion International. In fact Harriet said she, her four siblings and parents all benefited from the $38 a month. Harriet is now studying at a university in Kenya and the world is open to her, poverty no longer has a grip on her life.

Compassion International sponsors children in impoverished areas of the world. The money we send every month helps children have a future. Please consider giving a child an opportunity today. You can use the link below to find out more information and actually demonstrate compassion today.
